Elevating New Skills + Generating New Business

Award-winning creative media agency Empower wanted to strengthen their team’s collaborative chemistry, generate more creative ideas, and become better prepared for client pitches. Over the course of 6 months, Second City Works delivered a series of storytelling workshops using improv tenets and techniques to elevate their business development growth.

"We have generated more new business this year than we ever had." Ashley Walters, Senior Vice President

Empower has gone above and beyond to weave improv’s philosophy into their corporate culture and keep it top-of-mind, even building an improv space and “Yes, And” wall in their Cincinnati offices.

They found our workshops so valuable in fact that their SVP, Ashley Walters and Senior Director of Marketing & PR Meghann Craig, wrote a Forbes article about how using these three core improv principles will elevate business growth, develop confident communicators and nurture a shared set of values.

According to the leadership at Empower, “Improv has become part of our daily nomenclature. It’s part of our culture. We now embrace the unknown and face any challenge with confidence, professionalism, tact and a whole lot of laughter.”

We are thrilled to be a very small part of their continued growth and success.
